2. ****Grab** \- Ride-hailing (backup)
3. ****Google Maps** \- Navigation (download offline maps)

### **General Transport Tips**

#### ****Money-Saving:**

- Use Public Transport or Bolt/Grab (never taxi, never tuk-tuk)
- Walk when possible
- Take boats

#### ****Time-Saving:**

- Fly domestic don't bus (your time is valuable)
- Use Trains, Grab/Bolt for airport (skip taxi line hassle)
- Download offline maps (don't rely on data)

#### ****Comfort:**

- VIP bus for overnight (worth extra ฿200)
- 2nd class lower bunk for trains (window, easier access)
- Large ferry for islands (smoother ride)

#### ****Safety:**

- Only rent a motorbike if experienced
- Get IDP before leaving home
- Use helmet always (app drivers)
- Never drink and drive
